Meet Edabali Achumabuni, one of our beneficiaries from Kachewa area in Isiolo North who is disabled and bedridden.

He is 84 years old and lives with his wife and grandchildren. The old couple has no income neither do they get any other help.

Edabali’s condition limits his ability to source for food. Edabali and his family needs your help.

For only Ksh2,500 you can provide him with a food hamper. The hamper consists of: Rice, Sugar, Wheat Flour/Maize flour, Corn Soya Ujimix, milk, tea leaves and salt.

The plot lacked water, electricity and a pit latrine.

Dabaso's life was transformed when we constructed a new house for him under the “roof over my head” project.

His name originates from the vital role he plays in the School Feeding Program.

He ensures that Mama Ibado Charity gets the students daily tallies on time in order to ensure the lunch is adequate and prepared on time.

"Baba Ibado" is grateful for the School Feeding Program. He is happy when every student is fed.

We participated in the Kakamega Township Primary School parents, teachers meeting and received positive feedback about the School Feeding Program.

One of the parents, Mr. Daniel Okoth Wamukoya expressed gratitude and indicated that the SFP has not only positively impacted performance but also, it has been of great help to the parents, especially now when the inflation rate keeps rising and putting food on table is becoming difficult.

The school feeding program has led to increased student enrollment, reduced absenteeism and improved performance.

Since its inception in 2010, the Mama Ibado Charit

Since its inception in 2010, the Mama Ibado Charity’s core activity has been providing food to the less privileged elders of Isiolo and Kakamega counties.

Starting out with only 50 beneficiaries, we have expanded to support a total of 800 beneficiaries with the intention of increasing this number to 1000 by the end of 2023.

Using the donations of our various benefactors, our volunteers have devised a strategically adequate way of distributing food to our beneficiaries.

The Mama Ibado Charity team derives collective joy and purpose from being able to provide a sustainable source of sustenance to all our beneficiaries.

Halima was a bedridden widow, who lived with her five orphan children in a wooden house with earthen floor.

The walls had gaps covered by torn boxes to protect them from cold at night and insects from crawling in.

The plot lacked a pit latrine and electricity. Water was however, available.

Halima's life was transformed when we constructed a new house for her under the “roof over my head” project.

Halima passed away in February this year. She was extremely grateful to Mama Ibado Charity for transforming her life and that of her children.

The Late Mama Ibado’s great grandson Mustafa, fasted 23 days during Ramadan 2022 to raise $1000 to feed our seniors and restore their dignity. He has so far raised $300.

Our beneficiaries were happy to see the faces behind Mama Ibado Charity and the visit was well received.

We gathered feedback on food rations duration which last an average of 2 weeks for large households, 3 weeks for a family of 3 to 4 and an entire month for a senior living alone.
