Aims to end generational traumas and obstacles that lead to dysfunction in the family structure and lack of opportunities. Inspired by the philanthropic legacy of his late mother Ibado Haji, Ahmed has played a crucial role in the journey towards establishing MIC as a reputable organization in Kenya and has not only made it his mission and life’s work to ensure that elderly men and women in the region can live peaceful lives through social programs that not only tackle poverty but aim to end generational traumas and obstacles that lead to dysfunction in the family structure and lack of opportunities. Ahmed now resides in Toronto, Canada.

Mariam Ahmed is a Kenyan National and graduate from York University in Toronto, Canada. She obtained a B.A,specialized, Honours in International Development Studies, with a specialization in gender and development, diaspora and migration and politics, governance and policy. She is currently the Executive VP and head of Public Relations at Mama Ibado Charity.

She has vast knowledge working at Public Traded Company, Private Sector and Not-for-profit organizations. Farthosa is the Finance and Admin Director at Mama Ibado Charity.

Liesa Bidali is a skilled and experienced Program Manager with more than seven years of expertise in project and program management. With a BA in Project Planning and Management, she acquired a strong foundation in the principles and best practices of managing complex initiatives.
Throughout her career, she has demonstrated proficiency in program operations, agricultural project execution, and community engagement drives. These areas of specialization have allowed her to make a positive impact on various organizations and communities. She brings this experience to Mama Ibado charity where she coordinates Isiolo and Kakamega branch operations and initiatives.

Ibrahim Mohamed is a Kenyan National and a graduate of Moi University, Kenya. He holds an undergraduate degree in BSc. Entrepreneurship Studies. Ibrahim possesses over 10 years of experience in implementing and coordinating humanitarian support programs in Northern Kenya. He is currently the Program Coordinator for Mama Ibado Charity based in Isiolo.

Shamso Mohamed Farah is graduate from SIDHAM Accounts College. She further developed her financial acumen during her time as an accountant for the Agricultural Food Aid Program in Juba and Somaliland. She continues to be an active and enthusiastic member and treasurer of the Al-Ihsan women’s group of Isiolo Kenya. She is the Project Coordinator of the Isiolo Branch at Mama Ibado Charity -Isiolo Branch

Raised in Kakamega county and a graduate from University of Nairobi. I obtained a Bachelor degree in Arts, specialized in Political science and armed peace conflict and leadership. Pursuing Masters in Project planning and Management from University of Nairobi. Currently I am the project coordinator Mama Ibado Charity Kakamega. My main objective is to provide hope to the elderly and also to reduce the burden involved in caring for seniors to many families that are struggling to make ends meet.

Makamu Heston is dedicated and experienced social worker with more than 5 years’ experience in delivering health improvement, social welfare & protection and Advocacy programs targeting the vulnerable populations in Kakamega, Busia, Vihiga and Bungoma counties. His skills and experience will support MIC in the design and Implementation of sustainable programs that will increase the dignity of our seniors, nutrition status and actively participate in fundraising initiatives. Heston Holds a Diploma in Project Management, Diploma in Community development and Social Work and is currently pursuing Degree in Development studies at Mount Kenya university.
