Through the Seniors Feeding Program, we uncovered additional challenges faced by seniors, including the dire state of their living conditions. Many seniors lived in deteriorated structures made of rotting wood or fragile materials like paper and grass, offering little to no protection from harsh weather. These poor conditions severely impacted their well-being and health.

A volunteer first brought attention to this issue by piloting a housing solution for one senior who lived in heartbreaking circumstances. This inspired a broader effort to address the housing crisis for seniors. Mama Ibado Charity, in partnership with its main donor, The Monk Foundation, launched the Roof over My Head project, funding the construction of 85 housing units with washrooms. This initiative provided safe shelter for 85 needy seniors and their families.
