Mama Ibado Charity (MIC) partnered with Pepo La Tumaini Jangwani, a school and home for many orphaned and abandoned children.

Through this collaboration, the school highlighted several challenges faced by the children. In response, MIC’s president pledged to seek support for the school and prioritize addressing digital literacy, one of the critical needs identified by the administration.

As a result, the school received a fully equipped computer lab, complete with computer stations, desks, and internet access, enabling students to enhance their learning through extracurricular digital education.

While implementing the school feeding program, additional needs at Kakamega Township Junior Secondary and Primary School became evident. One key request was for an ICT lab to enhance students' learning experience and provide opportunities to explore subjects beyond the Kenyan curriculum, such as coding, equipping them with competitive skills to improve their futures and uplift their community.

To address this, Mama Ibado Charity (MIC) installed a state-of-the-art ICT lab featuring 24 fully equipped computer stations, an interactive screen, speakers, and internet access. This facility has become a valuable resource for both students and teachers, enabling students to broaden their knowledge and teachers to improve their computer skills, fostering growth and empowerment within the school community.
