Today, she is a mother of six, with four boys and two girls. Her children are now older, but none has been able to secure employment that would allow them to contribute financially to the family. This leaves Basra carrying much of the responsibility for ensuring that there is food in the house and that the family’s basic needs are met.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor Basra, one of the hardest parts of her situation is knowing that she must continue finding ways to provide for her children despite the limited resources available to her. Feeding a household of seven is not easy when there is no steady income to depend on. Each day brings the responsibility of making sure there is enough food for everyone, a concern that weighs heavily on her as she tries to keep her family going.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThrough Mama Ibado Charity’s feeding programme, Basra and her family receive monthly food supplies, including wheat flour, maize flour, sugar, cooking oil, and other essential food items. This support has become an important part of helping her manage the household. Rather than having to find the means to purchase every essential food item, she can rely on the supplies to help feed her family and meet some of their nutritional needs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe assistance brings Basra relief from some of the pressure she faces as the person responsible for her household. Knowing that essential food supplies are available helps ease the challenge of putting meals on the table, especially when financial resources are scarce. While the support does not take away all the difficulties her family faces, it helps make their daily circumstances more manageable.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBasra is grateful that Mama Ibado Charity continues to stand alongside her family during this challenging period.
