A skilled mason by trade, his hands have helped shape the very homes and spaces that surround him, leaving behind a quiet legacy of hard work, service, and craftsmanship. Originally from Habaswein in Wajir, Khorow left his home in search of better opportunities. On Friday, May 5, 1972, at 10:00 PM, he arrived in Isiolo, beginning a new chapter of his life. With his masonry skills and a strong work ethic, he quickly established himself within the community, building homes and other structures for local families.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor Khorow, masonry was more than a way to earn a living. Over the years, he also trained and mentored younger men, passing on the skills he had acquired through decades of experience. Some of those he taught continue to work as masons today, carrying forward a craft that Khorow dedicated much of his life to. Three years after settling in Isiolo, Khorow married on Tuesday, May 12, 1975. Together with his late wife, he built a family of seven children, four daughters and three sons. Their life, however, was marked by profound loss. Khorow lost one of his daughters at a young age, and years later, he also lost his beloved wife.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eToday, his family has grown and taken different paths. His surviving daughters are married and have established homes of their own, while two of his sons have families. His third son is currently serving a prison sentence. With his children living their own lives, Khorow now faces his later years largely on his own. After a lifetime of physical labour, building homes for others and teaching the next generation of craftsmen, Khorow has reached his advanced years without significant physical assets, formal savings, or a reliable source of income. The hands that once provided for his family through hard work can no longer offer the same security they once did.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eToday, support from Mama Ibado Charity has become essential to his daily life. Basic food assistance, including staples such as sugar, cooking oil, and other household provisions, helps ensure that he can meet his most fundamental needs and avoid the harshest effects of poverty and hunger. Yet, despite the losses and uncertainty he has experienced, Khorow remains a deeply humble and spiritually grounded man. He speaks with gratitude about the assistance he receives, but his faith reminds him that human effort has its limits. For Khorow, true provision ultimately comes from God.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKhorow remains deeply grateful for the assistance that have become a source of stability in his life.
