Aguom William carries the quiet strength of a life built on hard work and resilience. In her younger years, she was full of energy, spending her days farming her land and providing for herself and her family. The land was once alive with activity, a source of both livelihood and dignity. But time, as it always does, began to take its toll. As the years passed, Aguom grew older, and with age came new challenges. Her strength slowly faded, and her eyesight began to fail. The same land she once worked tirelessly now lies untouched, no longer farmed as it once was.

Life became even more difficult as she found herself unable to carry out daily tasks on her own. Simple things, like going to collect food, became impossible. She now depends on her children, and at times even her neighbors, to step in and help her where she no longer can. It is a quiet struggle, one that many elderly people face but few speak about. Before receiving support, Aguom went through a process that required patience. She was asked to provide her identification details and a passport photo, and after waiting for two months, she was finally called. That call marked a turning point in his life. She was invited to come and collect food support—something that would ease the burden she had been carrying alone.

At the time, She still had some strength left, enough to go and collect the food herself and bring it home. But as time went on, even that became difficult. Despite this, the support remained consistent. From the third collection onwards, she began receiving food regularly, every month, usually on the 1st or 2nd. This consistency brought a sense of stability back into her life.

Over time, the support improved. During a meet-and-greet event last year, Aguom and other beneficiaries had the opportunity to meet the leadership of Mama Ibado Charity. They were assured that the portions of some essential items would be increased. True to their word, this year the portions were adjusted. Now, Aguom receives increased support, including 2 litres of cooking oil and 2 kilograms of sugar, among other items.

Today, even though Aguom can no longer do the things she once could, she no longer faces her struggles alone. The monthly support has brought her relief, stability, and renewed hope. She expresses deep gratitude—not only for the food she receives but for the care and consistency behind it.
