Charity Mbaya has called Isiolo home all her life. Born and raised in the region, she later married and built her family there. But as her household grew, meeting the needs of her family became increasingly difficult.

Charity is a mother of four grown children, two daughters and two sons. Although her children went to school, finding stable employment proved difficult. Her sons now rely on casual jobs, often leaving home in search of construction work and other opportunities, without knowing whether they will find work or return home empty-handed.
