LIGARE CLEMENT MUKOTO
Ligare Clement Mukoto was born in 1948 in the Amalemba, Kakamega County. He grew up as one of four children in a household where his parents struggled to make ends meet through subsistence farming.
As a young boy, he shared the limited resources available with his three siblings while navigating a humble upbringing.
He began his education with high hopes but was only able to reach Standard 3. In 1958, his schooling came to an end because his family could no longer afford to pay the required school fees. This lack of financial means forced him to leave the classroom behind much earlier than he had anticipated.
