Born in Merti, Mohamed grew up as one of seven siblings. Tragedy struck early, with two of his brothers passing away young and his mother dying when he was just seven. Forced to leave school after Standard Four due to lack of fees, Mohamed became a herdsman, tending his father’s cows while his father worked as a laborer to provide food for the family.
At 18, Mohamed set off to Nairobi in search of a better life. He found work as a watchman in Kariobangi, a popular slum area, a job he held for three years before being dismissed. Returning to Merti, he resumed labor jobs to support his family. Fate intervened when he was forcefully recruited into the police service and trained as a stock theft officer, tasked with tracking stolen...
