Athumani Omari Njebwe was born on June 21, 1952, in Amalemba. He attended Kakamega Township School, completing in 1977. Afterwards, he continued his education at Rosterman High School until Form Four.
Due to a lack of financial support, Athumani was unable to continue his schooling. He sought employment and engaged in casual labor, working on farms and occasionally as a cook.
In 1984, Athumani married and has five children and six grandchildren. His children are also engaged in casual labor, lacking permanent jobs that would enable them to support their own families as well as assist him.
Born into a family of eleven children, Athumani is the fifth born. Two of his siblings have passed away, leaving nine surviving me...
