Peter Peta Lojakait grew up in the archaeologically rich Turkana settlement of  Lokori, where his youth was filled with a blend of hard work and lively traditions. Days were spent herding cattle, while nights brought festivities that showcased the spirited culture of his community. Among these was alogita, a game where young men armed with branches engaged in playful combat, culminating in a feast of goat meat and joyful dances with young women from the village.
